About the event
Our efforts toward a renewed community look will begin today as we gather to clean trash along Swink Avenue in Rocky Ford from 14th Street west to 2nd Street.
With the 142nd Arkansas Valley Fair beginning on August 14th we can lead an initiative to improve the look of this strip of town and welcome our out-of-town visitors to the oldest continuous fair in the State of Colorado.
Volunteers are asked to bring work-appropriate clothing, gloves and water to stay hydrated. We will provide trash bags and bag pick up.
Gather at the High Chaparral Inn parking lot. Teams will then continue west along both sides of Swink Avenue.
We look forward to continuing with The Small Town Project's second of a future of projects dedicated to enhancing the economic and social vitality in Rocky Ford to improve the quality of life for residents of our community.
